How to Apply for an Italian Humanitarian Visa (700 Visas for Afghan Refugees)
These visas are not available to the general public. They are aimed primarily at disadvantaged Afghan minority. Details about eligibility may be found from the program’s relevant institutions.
What You Should Know:
• Individuals cannot apply directly. Partner organizations do vulnerability assessments before making their selections.
• Refugees must presently reside in a third country. Afghans living in Italy or other EU nations are not eligible.
• Afghan refugees in adjacent countries may register with UNHCR and IOM, which are crucial in the referral and selection process.

The Community of Sant’Egidio will provide help for 300 refugees. HERE
The CEI will help 200 refugees at HERE
The FCEI will accept 100 refugees. HERE
ARCI will accept 100 migrants. HERE

The Italian government has already received 338 migrants; another 362 will be allowed by July 2025.
