Opportunity Description
The British Council GREAT Scholarship initiative provides an outstanding chance for international students to further their studies in the UK. This scholarship allows chosen candidates to obtain a master’s degree and choose from various fields of study. The British Council GREAT Scholarship provides financial assistance of up to £10,000 for tuition fees for one-year postgraduate courses. Candidates who receive this scholarship will gain access to some of the top universities throughout England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Students from 18 chosen countries (Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam) qualify for this scholarship. This is a collaborative effort among the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council, and more than 70 participating UK universities.
This scholarship initiative provides more than 200 scholarships for the academic year 2025–26. Successful candidates for this scholarship will gain the chance to enroll in renowned UK universities across multiple disciplines and access exclusive networking and introductory events for GREAT scholars. Additionally, students will be able to join a worldwide network of academics and specialists.
